At our last retreat, a number of you asked if we could create a medium of communication for any number of department-specific purposes, including announcing recent accomplishments. I hope that this blog will do the trick. To keep things manageable, Kevin will be responsible for adding new posts. If you have something you’d like to share, please send him the content of your post and he’ll make sure it gets published in the blog. Please try to keep your posts relatively brief.
All faculty, staff, and graduate students have permission to comment on posts. To receive notifications via email whenever a new post is published, simply enter your email address in the "Follow by Email" box below. A link to the blog will also be available on the department's new web site. Just look for the Blogspot logo.
Let’s try this out through the end of the fall semester and then decide what improvements, if any, are required to better facilitate our communication needs.
